Thanksgiving

We had a nice and quiet Thanksgiving this year. Here you can see Juleen trying to get Conner to eat. He has been super fussy and stubborn lately, not wanting to eat...we think a tooth might be coming. Juleen made the pie and sweet potatoes. I made a cheese cake, (yep I'm so helpful and amazing and simply LOVE to cook NOT). My sweet mother of course made everything else. My mom is a rockstar at cooking. Thanks mom!

me and my bro
Playing games and eating pie. Nice! I love games. And I love pie.
I like to play the piano when I am at my mom's house, but its pretty much impossible as the boy can't allow anyone to play without him sitting right next to you helping you play and turning the pages.

This picture makes me laugh. Tommy is looking so adoringly at his two favorite people :) div>
At walmart. I ask you to ignore the diet coke sitting in the cart with the boy. We are actually cutting back- notice only two twelve packs? It could be worse trust me.
Have you ever seen Conner do his "crazy" face? If not you have to see it, its hilarious. Here he is doing it but it kida looks like a smile. You have to see it in person.
French Toast at Kneaders. Our favorite.

Kay so here is the thing, I have never seen this child hook on to ANYONE, other than my dad, the way he has with Juleen. It is really quite miraculous. I mean, she is just the sweetest person in the world so I am not exactly surprised, but at the same time, its just kinda spooky how comfortable he is with her. He almost NEVER cuddles because he is so busy but here he is at Kneaders and he just nestled into her and didn't move for like five minutes. Sorta unheard of for Conner the wild child. Anyway I think we all just adore Juleen. Or as Conner has
nick named her, "ju ju."

Twilight, are you sick of hearing about it yet?

twilight twilight twilight twilight

I am completely and totally in love with the movie Twilight. I told my girl Brooke when we were walking out, "I feel like I just got off the new ride at Disneyland." We couldn't stop smiling! It was so good that I am going to drag Corey to it again this week. If you haven't seen it I give you my full recommendation to run out and see it. I am just so frustrated that I have to wait so long to see the next one! I admit that it was remotely cheesy at parts, but it was just so romantic and I loved it, it reminded me of when I fell in love with Corey. Ahhh how cute.
PS it leaves out a lot of the book, but that's only to be expected. They did a good job fitting most all the important stuff in.

Ha Ha Ha, Brooke is going to kill me, the freaking gorgeous girl told me I couldn't post any of these pictures, she couldn't be satisfied with any we took, so she tried three different styles, she is hilarious.

Awesomeness

So how cool am I? I want you to go to this web address :http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265260

Look what I got at a THRIFTSTORE, yes thats right, I put away my pride one day and went to the thrift store.

Mainly because I was bored and when I am bored I want to shop and I knew I shouldn't shop so I went to the thrift store. So can you believe I got this amazing toy for 9 dollars? Its brand new, looks like it was never even touched. Holy moly what a deal. Conner loves it.
loves it. So if you looked at the link I told you to look at, you will have noticed this toy was $70 dollars new. Um ya, 9 dollars right here!!! Anyone want to go thrift store shopping with me? Its like totally my new thing! If you can muster all the weirdos in there you can find some neat stuff.

So my grandpa came home from Mexico WEARING THIS WHEN HE WALKED IN THE DOOR. It was so funny. I of course had to try it on. Conner was nervous when he saw "papa" dressed like that and then seeing mama dressed like that freaked him out even more. But hey I am awesome right?

Private Time

We are going to make our blog private. Almost all of you know what that means. But to some who might not, this just means that our web page won't be able to be viewed by people who don't know us. This will allow us to put more personal things on our blog and not worry about weirdos out there finding it in cyberspace.
We have also had more than enough trouble with our previous computer and its virus after virus. So I guess what it all boils down to is If you are interested in viewing our blog, I need your email address. Please leave a comment OR email me your email address and I will simply invite you to view our blog. Its as easy as that, and you will then be able to access our blog just as you have always been doing.

if you prefer not to leave a comment with your email address, you may email your email address to me at: lauriekunz@gmail.com

I will leave this post up for a while so you have time to let me know if you want to be invited.
Love you all,
Corey and Laurie and little boy

You're Input

So I am curious, what do you mothers do with your kids during the winter? Corey works long hours, and I am finding it hard to entertain Conner allllllllll day long.
I am so lucky that I have been able to get him to go the little gym nursery at the gym so I have been working out most mornings, so that has been amazing. But what else?
We read books like alllllll day long because every hour he is ready for more "stories" but as much as I love reading to him it gets old.
Any ideas of fun things to do indoors that entertain?

Everything is a toy

My grandma R. is having a rough go of things, she hurt her back. Conner, my mom, and I went to take them some groceries and let me tell you Conner sure loves going to their house. There are so many interesting things to look at and explore in that house. Not only that but they have a very cool cat named Brindy, and now he is talking about Brindy five times a day! Conner loves "grandma and grandpa" and every day he asks about "grandma-ouch-back." He is such a sweet heart. Here you can see one of the "toys" he found in grandpa's art drawer.

Happy Brithday Mylee!

Here are some of the pictures from Mylee's first Birthday. (Mylee is Ashley's little girl).
Ash decorated the cake all by herself. Well, sorta :)
Conner HAD to help Larvin with the batteries and screw driver. Larvin was so nice to entertain him and let him help. Here they are putting together Mylee's gifts.

Linny holding Conner. Ashley's family treats Conner as if he were their own. You can see Ashley's mom in the background.
Me and my Jace... I love to grab him and make him hug and kiss me even tho he wants to get away. :)

Concert with the Bro

So my dear dear brother and his girlfriend got me tickets for my birthday to see a concert! My brother came from LA to see Juleen and we all went together. It was a fantastic concert, this guy is an amazing performer. I was sincerely impressed. You might not have heard of him, but you have probably heard his hit single on the radio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flAvh1o-s5E, called Common get higher. His name is Matt Nathanson.

a tag QUIRKS

Heads up, my computer is still, or should I say again, in the shop. Therefore I apologize for not making comments on my fellow bloggers pages. Hopefully I will be up and running soon, but right now I am borrowing Corey's computer at night to make a few email and blog checks.

The lovely Brie sorta tagged me, well, she tagged everyone. And it looks like a goodie!

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the, rules on your blog.
3. Tell 6 unspectacular quirks about you.
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers and link to them.
5. Leave a comment on the 6 bloggers you tagged letting them know they've been tagged.

Quirk #1
I hate hate hate hate hate new car smell. It makes me sick. I want to vomit when I smell it. I would never buy a new car just for that simple fact. I guess I could just leave the windows open in the new car for a few weeks and hope it goes away? Why people market air fresheners called 'new car smell" are out of their friggin minds.

Quirk #2
I hate hate hate hate the idea of anything underneath couch cushions. It is this weird disgusting fear I have. If I see any couch with stuff under the cushions I get completely grossed out. I vacuum under my couch cushions all the time to make sure there is NOTHING under there. Obviously the worst is food of any sort- oh my gosh I am getting sick just thinking about it.

Quirk #3
I love to take baths. I rarely take showers. I will never forget when my beloved cousin Mark told me that it was completely gross that I took baths because "I was bathing in my own bacteria." That comment certainly gave me something to ponder about.
I still don't care, unless I am in an absolute rush I take baths. LOVE EM... you should totally try it.

Quirk #4
I don't know if this is a quirk, but I clean when I am stressed. Its like my brain fades into nothingness when I am cleaning. I actually really love to clean, its just finding the time and KEEPING it clean. With such a small house and a kid and a husband its hard to keep it clean.

Quirk #5
I LOVE to fold laundry and watch a show or movie. I usually wash all my laundry on Wednesday and Thursday and keep it all in baskets ready for Thursday so I can fold it while I watch Grey's Anatomy.

Quirk #6
I cannot and will not sleep without a heating pad at night. I have been doing so every single night for as long as I can remember and honestly if I didn't have one I would not be able to sleep. There have been several times when I have traveled somewhere and have forgotten to pack my heating pad and we have had to go out and buy one before I could go to bed that night.

Bonus Quirk
I refuse to fill up my own car with gas. I make Corey do it. I can't explain it, I just hate doing it and so I go and go and go on the same tank of gas until Corey notices I am on empty and he goes and fills it for me. I have probably only filled up a tank of gas for our cars about five times since we have been together which is like 6 years. Whoa.

I tag: Brookie, Ashley, Suzie, Lindsey Pizza, Whitney, and Steph Dillier

Whits baby shower

My friend Whitney came in to town from Milwalke this weekend and we threw her a surpise baby shower! It has been so long (years for a couple of us) since we have all been together. From left to right, Traci, Brynn, Me, Lindsey, Jamie, and Whitney is sitting in the chair.
We went to Jr. High and Highschool together and most of us worked together in the Student Government our senior year. Traci, Whitney and I have been friends for even longer, we went to Elementary school together along with Jr. High and Highschool. We have lots of memories together.

Whitney and her sisters in law.

Me and the gorgeous Linds

Happy Birthday

For my birthday we went to my favorite restaurant Tres Hombres. I think we have been going there for my birthday dinner every year since I was like ten.

Me, my mom, and my brother's girlfriend Juleen.

Me and my man. I was telling him that I don't think there are hardly any posts on my blog where he isn't wearing a ute shirt. He actually does have other clothes. The U happened to be playing last night on my birthday. Go figure. do you like my princess crown? It was from my mommy.
Me and my two favorite people in the world.

I got so many ncie things from my family I really think this was the best birthday I have ever had. I wish my bro could have been here but he was sweet enough to send me a brand new U of U hoodie from him and Juleen along with some concert tickets.

Happy Halloweeen

Like last year, we went on lots of visits to show off Conner. We went to see Dad and Grandpa and Great Grandpa at their work, then Grandma and Grandpa Rhodehouse and Grandma Monson at home. By the end of the day Conner was really tired but he was a good sport.

Throwing leaves at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Kay so every halloween we have a little "party" at my moms house and I like to always have these old fashion donuts. Well this year Corey wanted to incorporate an old family tradition from his Grandpa Call where you put the donuts on the pumpkin. So here is his little creation.

Halloween Eve

My dear friend Brooke and I wanted to do something fun for the boys for Halloween. We took them to this darling pumpkin patch. Left to right: Blake, Conner, Josh.

The boys in the corn maze, well hay maze.

Buddies, Blake and Conner.
