The Con-Dawg and the Cor-Dawg

I thought you would all enjoy seeing this picture. As you all know Conner looks soooo very much like Corey. There are very few baby pictures of Corey in existence but his mom found this one a while back. Do you see the resemblance?
I think Conner has a little more meat on him and maybe a little more hair but otherwise they really are mirror images don't you think?

Some special friends

Today Conner and I went to lunch with some of my oldest friends. Whitney and Traci (Traci is the pregnant one, she is over-due poor girl, she will be induced on Monday if little girl doesn't come.)
We have been friends since we were in third grade. A lot has happened since then and we sure have been thru a lot together. Too bad we don't see each other quite as much as we would like but its good to know we can still get together and it feels like old times.

A few randoms

So it turns out Conner really is our kid. He LOVES pizza just like his mommy and daddy.

This was such a funny sight I had to take a picture. We were at IKEA and Conner did this when he got in the shopping cart. He thought he was so funny.

Have you ever wondered what I would look like with red hair? Or more importantly have you ever wondered what Corey would look like with red hair?
I have no clue why but my Grandpa Monson had this wig/hat thing at his house on Christmas and of course we couldn't resist taking some pictures.

Corey making a domino castle.

Three makes an even BETTER Christmas!

This was an extra special Christmas for our family. Having Conner around just made everything so much more fun.

Eagerly awaiting the opening of gifts over at Grandma and Grandpa Monson's house!

Corey got me his traditional Christmas Eve gift. Flannel Pajamas from Victoria's Secret. He has been getting them for me for the past four years. I LOVE THEM!

Conner and his Mama on Christmas Eve at my parents house.

Conner loves seeing Uncle Tommy when he comes into town. He especially loves playing with his beard.

Conner went crazy for his Christmas gift from cousin Kennady. Why do I have a sneaky suspicion that CODY picked out the gift?
It is a spiderman doll that sings and does dances with the coolest arm movements ever. Conner was thrilled as you can imagine.

A Call Family Get-Together

We were invited to a little Call Family get together at Dave and Claire's house. What a fun time we had, and SUCH good food.
We played dominos and ate and had a really fun time. I found myself especially fond of Claire, she was so sweet and without being asked she came into the kitchen where we were attempting to play games and brought a blanket and a bunch of toys out for Conner to sit on the floor and play with. She is one of the most lovely women I have ever met. I am hoping we can see them more often because she really is wonderful to be around!

Quinnie-pants and Laurie after a roudy game of Dominos.

A huge thank you to Aunt Julie, she made this GORGEOUS scarf for me for my birthday. It's pink, it's warm, its pretty...what else could a girl ask for?

Ariane

I found this darling picture of my best friend Ariane today on her blog. I just loved it so much I stole it and am posting it here on my blog.
Ariane and I have been friends since highschool where we met in AP English class our Senior year. We went to college at the U of U together until she had to go back to Brazil because she could not get her VISA renewed.
We went from being together almost every single day to now having not seen each other for about five years. Thankfully we still talk nearly ever day. It's been hard to have so many important experiences of my life happen without her, graduating from college, getting married, and having a baby. But hopefully we will see each other again soon. You know you have a true friend when they drive all the way to Provo with you to watch four hours of the dumbest college raquet ball game in the entire world just because you need them to. (Ariane, you know what I am talking about...)

Only Six Days Left...

Merry Christmas!

This photo is for Nick. (Megan make sure he sees it!) And for the rest of you...just know Conner certainly has never tasted red bull we just thought it would be a funny picture.

Cute couple at dinner at Rodizio Grill.

Another cute couple at Rodizio Grill (YUMMY!!)

Check out these cool new bath toys I got for Con-Dawg. These little rubber duckies touch the water and light up they are sooo cool.

Conner's new favorite thing to do, touch all the clothes at the store as I walk him around in his stroller. He laughs sooo hard when he does this because he thinks he is so clever to be able to grab at stuff as I am walking him around. Oh, he is the absolute joy of my life!!

DECEMBER

I went to visit Kelli and her little girl this week. I could not wait to see the mini Greg and Kel. She is absolutely darling and it was so funny because she just loved Conner. She kept lunging at him as if she wanted to hug him. Conner was a little shy but who could blame him in the presence of such a pretty girl! I am hoping these two can be great friends, too bad Greg and Kelli live so far away.

We put up our little Christmas tree this weekend and Conner was fascinated by it, but when Corey tried to help him touch it, he would have nothing to do with it. After about fifteen minutes of encouraging him to touch it he finally swung out his hand and pulled it right back. He made a very strange face when he touched it.

Conner absolutely LOVES phones. We were over at a friend's house and her little brother wanted so much to play with Conner and asked what he likes to play with and I said "Do you have any pretend phones? He loves phones." Tanner disappeared for about five minutes and came back with these phones. Conner sure had fun with them.

We have started bowling league again with our buddies Jp and Steph. Last year I couldn't bowl because I was pregnant but this year I am giving it a try. Conner gets passed between the four of us a lot on bowling night which is good because we sorta pronounced them "God Mother and God Father" when Conner was born...oh wait, we aren't Catholic...owell

We spent some time over at Nick and Megan's last weekend. I was doing Ashleigh's hair and we put these little headbands on Conners head. It was cute for a second, but as you can see, he didn't appreciate it very much. Mommy's sorry Conner....it won't happen again...especially if your Dad has anything to do with it.

I changed the template for Christmas...is that dumb?

Is it dumb to change your template? I don't want people to be confused everytime they look at my blog...but I was just needing a change and this one was a little more Christmas-y.

Oh Sad!

Grandma Sylvia brought Conner the cutest little toy, it's a teether that vibrates when the baby puts it in his mouth. We all thought this would be a huge hit with Conner but much to our surprise it started to vibrate and he just wailed! It was so sad. Thinking it was a fluke Grandma Sylvia tried one more time the next day and...darn it, tears again. Anyway here is the teether not vibrating...Its a pretty cool little toy I think I'll try to work on him to like it.

WILBUR

Kay so I normally don't let Conner watch TV, at least not intentionally. But you would not believe what happens to Conner when I turn on this show. I will be watching the news or something in the morning and he will be on the floor playing with toys or whatever and if I change the channel to this show he goes NUTS. Kicking and waving his arms about and screaching! I am not joking. Tomorrow morning I think I will video tape it. Its so cute.

THaNKs FOr CoMinG!

Corey's family came for a fun visit this weekend. Man we are so lucky they have come three times in a row since Conner was born. What a treat.
We went to dinner at the best place in all of Salt Lake called Texas Roadhouse.
As you can see at dinner I was teaching everyone my box dance.

PS NOOOO it is NOT a hickie, I have a birthmark on my neck and it sometimes shows up and sometimes you can't see it.

Claci is pregnant. hmmm...

We like to go swimming and hot tubbing at Chris and Sylvia's hotel when they come to visit. Conner wanted to swim so bad he was kicking and flailing his arms the whole time. Finally we took off his pants and socks and let him kick around in the water.

Aunt Julie's house has totally become the party hang out house. Here are all the girls doing hair in the bathroom.

Conner was so tired he just fell over on Corey's arm. It was just the sweetest thing in the world.

Lunch at Olive Garden, isn't Cindy the cutest girl in the world? I just LOVE her.

Peas in a Pod, Father and Son.

Megan and I took the kids to Trolley Square to see the Christmas tree be lit, I guess it signifies the "beginning of Christmas" here in Salt Lake. It was funny because we actually ended up being on the news as the "crowd eagerly awaiting the tree lighting." It was pretty funny. Anyway Conner thought this rocking horse at Pottery Barn Kids was pretty amazing.

Conner had a bad cold last week and so we made this little haven for him in his crib where he could be propped up to sleep so he could breath. It worked really well actually!

So Conner is obsessed with phones. Thank heaven for cell phone lock mode!
