Book Review

Okay so I have had a really hard time deciding what to rate this book. I guess I will give it a B. I went back and fourth throughout the book LOVING it, and then sorta disliking it...then loving it again.
It's about a man who time travels (obviously) but its not really a sci-fi book, its more of a drama about a family. The undying love between a husband and wife, and eventually their little girl. It is a very interesting book, and an easy read, but it can get confusing at times when the dates are all jumbled up.
Basically it would be a great book if it weren't for a few disapointing scenes and some fowl language.
This one is not for the "sensitive" reader if you know what I mean. Definitely an ADULT book.

Memorial Day in Spokane

When we realized it was going to be a rainy Memorial Day weekend in Salt Lake we planned a last minute trip to Spokane just to get away. Corey and Chris drove- I refused. Corey even offered me $350 (price of my plane ticket) to spend on anything I wanted if I would drive, but I said NO, NO, NO, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. Thirteen hours in the car, and with Conner? No thank you.
It was a wonderful trip as always. Here are some pictures.

Now you want to know how to win you're way into Corey's heart?? Bring him a diet coke and an extra pitcher to go along with it. What the heck? Is this waiter like an angel brought down from heaven to attend to our every desire? He got a good tip as you can imagine. Corey and I have a philosophy- tip is determined by how many times they refill our diet cokes!

This was interesting, after dinner and shopping we went across the street to see the Spokane River overflowing, apparently it hadn't been this bad in like 20 years, they even closed down the bridge. It was awesome to see.

So Melissa and I have tons in common and get along swimmingly, but there is one very distinct difference between us, she cooks, I do not. Here I am enjoying licking the spoon of the left overs to the frosting of a dessert she was making.

Fun Stuff

I had to go to the dentist so we went down to see my mom at work (we go to the dentist whom my mom works for) and she watched him while I got my filling. He was the star of the show as you can imagine.

Last week it was so rainy and I needed to get out of the house, so Conner and I went over to Ashley's and chilled. Here is Conner playing with Jace's Home Depot stuff, how freaking cool is all this stuff? I love Conner with the tool belt on! So darling.

We went over to Shivers (a little drive in place by Ashley's parents house, and the boys played on the train while we ate. Jace and Conner get along so well its so nice.

Wud Up

After an interview I had about my Grandpa! Thanks Chelsea for doing my make up. I loved seeing you!

Just a fun picture I found, this was when we were dropping Conner off at my parents to stay while we went to Orlando.

Conner in this cute car over at my Aunt Sue's house. He really loved it. I'm thinking maybe I should get him one?

Have you ever been to IFA? If not you need to go, its such a cool place. There were baby chicks, baby ducks, baby turkeys, and baby rabbits. Along with all the other essentials for the good ol' farmers in the city.

Me and my cousin Sally at Grandpa and Grandma Monson's in the back yard. Sally just got this new Springer Spaniel puppy, I was, of course, beside myself with excitement about this puppy. I am a dog lover.

A Great Post (for lack of a better title)

My Dear, Wonderful, Lovely, cousin/friend Jill had her baby this morning. I was literally FREAKING out to go see her and the baby. You should ask Corey, I was begging him to hurry and take me up to the hospital, I even did a little dance and song for Conner where I went around the kitchen singing and dancing "I'm going to see a baby, I'm going to see a baby!"
I'm a total freak I know. (ps corey's cousin betsie had her baby twins too! It is a big day for babies in the family!)
But anyway I went to LDS Hospital with Corey to meet Caleb and see Jill and Rob. Jill looked GREAT and Caleb is adorable adorable adorable.
Any of you who know me very personally know that I of course cried when I held the baby.

Christopher very graciously (after seeing my dire need and excitement to go to the hospital) baby sat for us so we didn't have to take Conner to see the baby. When we got home look what we walked into the room to see....
Is that not amazing? I am so grateful that Conner feels so comfortable with Chris. Soooo darling.

Kay so since when does my little boy have curls in his hair? Its just been developing the last few weeks. I think its irresistible. I love it.

Carosel

My friend Brie and I finally found some time to hang out, we took the boys to South Towne Mall where they have a super awesome Carosel for the boys to go around on.
It was a wonderful afternoon thanks Brie for being my dear friend.

Outdoorsman

So as I have told some of you Conner is obsessed with being outside. When he wakes up in the morning, he has a bottle then comes into our bed for a few minutes to cuddle, then we go down stairs and immediately he bangs on the door to go outside. If I'm not ready to go out yet he has started having tantrums and comes and puts his head between my legs and holds on to my pants and cries.
We usually then proceed to go outside for a walk and then play around in the yard till his nap. After his nap its back outside, either to do errands or to play otherwise he has another tantrum. Then his second nap, and after he wakes from that its back outside to play. He is obsessed with being outside. I keep telling myself "hey, maybe it will get me a good tan this Summer."
Anyway so I have included a picture of him and one of his outside toys (Thanks Patty and Clark) and two other very interesting pictures of Conner standing in the sprinkler. I was watering the lawn and he decided to just walk right into the sprinkler. I could NOT believe him, it was freezing cold water and he just stood in it for like fifteen minutes. His clothes were sopping wet. This kid is so unreal. There is absolutely NOTHING in the WORLD that I hate more than being in cold water.

Book Review SHOOT THE MOON

Shoot the Moon by Billie Letts

This one I give an A-
I really enjoyed this book, it was a good brain relaxer for me because the last few books I have been reading haven't been quite page turners like this one was.
This is a small town mystery about a man who was adopted as a little boy and later searches for his birth parents and finds that his mother was murdered.
Its a great book and even has a bit or romance in it... thankfully...who wants a book with no romance! :)

We have a walker! (Push the play button)

A visit from Corey's mom

Corey's mom came to visit with her sister for a family wedding. It was so fun having them here. Conner took to Sylvia right away and they had a lot of fun together.
The wedding was really nice and a good chance for us all to get together. Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

As you can see by the end of the night (Sunday night) Conner was totally done. It was a very busy day.

Mothers Day

I had a really nice Mother's day. I love my little Conner more than pretty much anything in the world.
